Dev Snapshot
How are we all?
I just wanted to take a moment to really show what kind of things go on, even with the smallest of things that we try to do in our development journey.

Here I share a small image of a recent pull request (code review) made to merge in some work done on our route management. The blue +1,694 is lines of code added while the -319 in red indicates lines of code removed or "not as it was". To you all, the "new route" page does 3 things:
- Select Departure
- Select Destination
- Enter flight number *
* You previous entered a single number. This has changed in v0.5 to you enter both flight numbers now
So what's the point?
Well, 1,694 lines of code is something quite impressive and is actually something shy of 4 hours worth of work, for such a relatively simple area of the app. Now take that into consideration when I say there has been over 60,000 file changes since v0.4. To give you an idea, flylat application is around 54,000 lines of code total. So in metrics, that's around 150 hours of solid coding since December 2023, which actually translates into roughly an hour a day since we started v0.5. Now I know for a fact that I was not here between February and possible into April of this year due to several personal reasons. So alas, when we you see me and Luke talk about this being the biggest update, we're not just saying it for PR or even for hype, we really do mean it. I only take this time now to ask you all to be kind as for the point I made at the beginning, things seem simple to you, to us we know really what's going on.
So seeing as we seem to be getting close to announcing a release date, I'll finally lift one of the curtains... enjoy!
Until next time,
